EGEE never stops - not even at Christmas!

EGEE never stops - not even at Christmas! The EGEE Project is pleased to announce that the average number of running jobs over the Christmas period and during new year celebrations was ~20k.

This figure compares well with the number of jobs for this week: ~26k and means that EGEE production barely dropped despite the festive season.

The EGEE project would like to wish both old and new users of this website a serene 2007 and looks forward to meeting current and potential adopters of its powerful Grid infrastructure over the coming months.

Key EGEE Events in 2007 include:

The Second User Forum, co-located with the OGF20 meeting in May in Manchester, UK. meeting will be held in May 7th-9th and the EGEE User Forum will take place 9-11 May in Manchester. This combined event will further strengthen the links between EGEE and the Open Grid Forum, bringing users and standards bodies together to ensure that the future of the Grid is complemented by the establishment of key standards.

The Call for Abstracts closes 31 January 2007.

EGEE'07, 1-5 October 2007 at the Europe Congress Center (ECC), Budapest, Hungary. EGEE annual conferences are dedicated to Grid technology and regularly attended by a large international Grid community coming together to discuss a wide range of issues, the latest developments, and international co-operation, with the aim of driving forward world-class Grid technologies.

EGEE Industry Days will also be taking place across Europe at regular intervals. The next Industry Day takes place 24-26 January 2007 in Pisa, Italy. The theme and focus of the Day will be: EGEE, MUSING and EGEE Projects Meet the Finance Sector. Click here for more information
