EGEE User Forum, Joint OGF20/EGEE, 9-11 May 2007 Manchester, UK:Call for Abstracts Now Open

Call for Abstracts Now Open for the second EGEE User Forum, taking place 9-11 May 2007 in Manchester, UK as part of the joint OGF20/EGEE event.

Hosted by UK e-Science,  this event is an important opportunity for innovative applications to establish contacts with EGEE and with other user communities, to plan for the future usage of the EGEE grid infrastructure, to learn about the latest advances, and to discuss the future evolution of Grid technology. It also provides an opportunity for dialogue with industrial parties having an interest in EGEE Grid technology.

The programme committee solicits contributions that focus on  user experiences and plans in using the EGEE infrastructure. Key topics include:

  • data access,
  • interactive usage,
  • workload and workflows.

Abstracts discussing the experiences from the resource-provider community (as computing centres joining the EGEE infrastructure) are also welcome.

The event programme will provide opportunities for oral presentations, poster sessions and practical demonstrations.

Abstracts should be prepared following the proposed template, stating the type of presentation (oral, poster, or on-line demonstation) and entered via the EGEE User Forum web pages.

The programme committee will review and select submissions for presentation in oral, demo and poster sessions.

Important dates:
Abstract submission opening: 1 December 2006
Abstract submission deadline: 31 January 2007
Acceptance Notification: 6 March 2007
