The EGEE’06 conference will be the focus point of a large number of Grid projects featuring prominently in both plenary and parallel sessions during the 5 days of this event. Facing many new challenges in the second phase of the project, an even broader audience than at previous EGEE conferences is expected. CERN is the host of the conference and other Geneva-based international organisations will be invited to discover how they can profit from this cutting edge technology. Industry will also be well represented, highlighting the EGEE project’s commitment to technology transfer to industry.
A Demonstration session of live Grid applications will be organised with a competition for the best demo and a sponsored prize.
The conference will take place at the newly-renovated International Congress Centre of Geneva, the CICG. The venue is close to the United Nations offices in Geneva
