The Grid 2006 Conference, which features keynote talks, panel, peer reviewed papers presentations, and posters, serves as both the premier conference presenting best Grid research and a forum where new concepts can be introduced and explored. This year the Conference will be co-located with the 2006 Cluster conference.

Grid computing is an emerging technology in engineering, science and other areas of research. Grid can be viewed as layers of computing (applications, scheduling, mapping etc ), information (services related to fast, reliable, secure, scalable, heterogeneity etc) and knowledge (security, personalization, consistency, performance etc). Current research on Grid is focusing on integration of Web services on Grid infrastructure.
However, only the set of technologies is not sufficient to develop real applications based on the Grid and Web. Development of real-life applications relies heavily on the system model and architectures through which this set of technologies are efficiently implemented. The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in Web Services and Grid to discuss how to develop real applications.
Topics of interests include, but are not limited to:
· Modeling, Service Oriented Architecture, Discovery, Workflow, Ontology
· The Model Driven Architecture (MDA), Frameworks for Building Applications
· Composite Service Creation, Enabling Infrastructures
· Solution and Resource Management for Web Services, Grid
· Dynamic Invocation Mechanisms
· Quality of Service, Security
· SOAP, UDDI Enhancements, BPEL etc
· Applications
· Transaction, Interoperability
· Scheduling, Mapping
· Computing infrastructure
