IBERGRID, May 14-16 2007, Santiago de Compostela, Spain: Call for Papers opens 01/02/2007

Paper Submission for IBERGRID, the 1st Iberian Grid Infrastructure Conference, May 14-16 2007, Santiago (Spain) is open 01/02/2007 - 05/03/2007

Aimed at fostering and promoting R&D activities in Iberian countries and their links to Latin America, IBERGRID will bring together academics co-operating in computer and computational sciences applied to Grid infrastructures and technologies to share lessons learnt and new approaches. 

IBERGRID will offer valuable insight into the benefits of Grid computing for the Iberian research community, helping to facilitate the construction of a common Iberian Grid Infrastructure.

Key topics & Paper Submission

Grid Middleware, Grid Computing, Data and Networking Infrastructures, Distributed and Large-Scale Data Access and Management, Distributed Resource Management and Scheduling, Supercomputer/cluster/grid integration issues, Grid Applications including e-Science and e-Business (e-health, environmental sciences, climate modelling, civil protection, computational sciences, high energy physics, e-administration…).

Additionally, papers focusing on the following are also welcome:

ongoing Grid projects and networks; experiences about regional, national or international grid infrastructure deployment; with particular reference to Latin-American experiences and project.

Priority will be given to collaborative work between cross country R&D institutions with a clear interest in the creation of an Iberian infrastructure for distributed computing.
