The Institute of Mechanics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is a leading national research centre in the field of theoretical and applied mechanics. It performs research, consultations and expert’s reports, metrology measurements, design and development of scientific devices and education of highly qualified specialists in theoretical and applied mechanics, biomechanics and mechatronics. The Institute of Mechanics has participated in 11 joint scientific projects supported by then European Community and a large number of bilateral contracts with research centres in Europe, USA, South America and Asia. SA1: Institute of Mechanics will offer user support and middleware deployment support, under supervision of IPP-BAS. The resource centre currently established at the Institute of Mechanics will be expanded and adequate support will be provided.
