Consortium GARR plans and operates the Italian Research and Education Network, connecting allmajor Universities and Research institutes on the national territory. The GARR Network links to theGèant2 pan-European backbone and, through it, connects to the worldwide NRENs system. Besidethis, GARR is as well engaged in several Research and Development activities.GARR will play an active role within SA2 and NA5 activities, especially focusing its effort on the“Overall Networking Coordination” (SA2) and “International Cooperation” tasks.
