LIP focuses on particle physics and instrumentation technologies for radiation detection. These
include embedded processors, data transmission equipment and data acquisition systems. It maintains a flexible portfolio of technology development, technology transfer and dissemination, which includes Positron Emission Mammography and Grid Computing. SA1: ROC Management (together with PIC); pre-production test bed site; regional certification of middleware releases; Grid Operations and support (including first line support for operational problems in region, oversight and management of operational problems, running essential regional Grid services, weekly operator on duty support and Grid services for infrastructure or VOs); CA management; VO, application, and user support (together with CSIC); Interoperation. NA2: Responsible for dissemination in Portugal by organizing events for key target groups and contacting and enrolling new user communities and resource centres. NA3: Provide training sessions for Portugal and Spain and conduct induction of new user communities
