Organisation Profile : The Communication & International Co-operation Division at Metware SpA, designs and delivers communication platforms for the ICT industry. Taking advantage of a well-balanced mix of communication, promotion & dissemination experience, business developments, networking skills and IT expertise, the division's multinational team strives to exploit opportunities among user/provider communities from industry, research and academia. By means of a variety of advanced tools and methodologies, the division develops communication packages, supports promotion and dissemination activities, performs branding and marketing studies, designs and executes training programmes, organises & manages events, and raises awareness on promoting Research, Technology Development achievements internationally. The division strategically focuses on supporting the creation of new IT alliances between Europe and the developing countries, with particular reference to India, Russia, Latin America and South-East Asia. Recently, the international co-operation division has gone on to focus on developing Press, Media, Promotion & Publicity in Europe & Developing countries in the delivery of focused newsletters, press releases, press kits and organised road shows in strategic international areas to increase visibility. The division compliments community building and promotion and dissemination activities through the development of dynamic, open source project portals including member showcase services and interactive facilities.
Your current Grid Activity Profile : Metaware is involved in the BELIEF (www.beliefproject.org) and EU-IndiaGrid (www.euindiagrid.eu) Research Infratsructure Projects both of which aim to increase the adoption of eInfrastructures in Europe and on an International level.
How do you see your organisation organisation working with Grid in the future? : We would like to develop stronger relations with new user communities from Fianncial, Bioinformatics, automative, media and government & SME sectors to exchange knowledge on successful grid adoption case stories.
