EGEE already supports several successful industrial applications, from a seismic processing solution to applications from SMEs in biotechnology and the plastic industry, providing access to a large pool of resources attached to the EGEE Grid infrastructure.

Representatives of these industrial applications form the ITF, and interact with the technical boards and activities of the EGEE project on an equal footing with representatives from scientific applications.

The ITF is one of the EGEE platforms designed to give Industry the opportunity to learn about EGEE and find out how their Industrial Applications can be deployed on EGEE.

The ITF, led by industrial partner CS SI, is composed of business partners in the project (, , ), and representatives from industrial applications making use of the EGEE infrastructure and/or middleware.
