Description:

ZIH is an active partner in Grid computing. It has been involved e.g. in the Unicore Plus project and currently participates in the German D-Grid project (job and resource usage monitoring, Grid aware data access, build up of the German D-Grid infrastructure). A strong partnership exists with application developers from a variety of faculties and institutions of the university (like life sciences and engineering) and from outside the university. ZIH also has a strong Bioinformatics group and would be interested to integrate Bioinformatics applications on EGEE (tumor growth simulation, protein-protein interactions)
